This dial holds the record for being the
filthiest one I have ever received. After cleaning, the original paint was
unpredictably found to be discolored, stained and mottled from more than a century
of accumulated soiling. Blending was necessary to achieve a uniform appearance
with the existing paint and achieve a match with the original color.
